It is exclusively compatible with Watts Hot Water Recirculation Systems, models 500800, 500805 and HWRS-WH. It is not designed to be used with a dedicated return line to the water heater.As an essential part of the hot water recirculating system, the sensor valve enhances the efficiency of your hot water system by opening when the water on the hot water side cools, effectively pushing the cool water back to the water heater. Once the hot water line reaches 98°F, the valve closes, ensuring that you have immediate access to hot water while reducing the wait time.
