All of our glass vials are made of Type I borosilicate glass providing exceptional resistance to heat shock and chemical leaching. Borosilicate glass provides excellent corrosion resistance. It is non-porous and has no catalytic effect. Borosilicate glass contains boron oxide. The boron oxide serves as a flux or glue to hold the silicate particles together with aluminum oxide and sodium oxide. Because the boron oxide particles are so small, the silicate is held together more closely resulting in a much stronger glass. Clear borosilicate sample vials offer maximum visibility. Type I borosilicate glass assures the contents integrity. Most vial sizes packaged in blue corrugate boxes to reduce carton dust. Measures 12mm diameter by 65mm height.
